With the injury toll rising-today was always going to be an interesting game. We've always had a great relationship and the upmost respect for Corsairs - traditionally Nottingham's largest team and over the past few years we've had some great battles with respect and appreciation generating on both sides. In our pre match coffee when I was informed of their impressive numbers and recent additions I knew today would be difficult.
2 more late drop outs meant that instead of slowly getting Ethan and Theo back in to the fray we would have to pitch them in from the start. We would have to play people in unfamiliar positions but so be it.
We started very promisingly and for the first 15 minutes controlled the possession and territory, unfortunately we couldn't make it pay and Corsairs started to grow in strength and confidence and winning turnover ball to create opportunities. As tackles flew from both sides Corsairs started to take control in the end running in 6 unanswered tries. The positive for Keyworth was that the boys continued to battle and try to play our game until the final whistle. Well done everyone.
