Hatrick Hero King makes MOM Danny's Birthday a good day!!

The return of Theo certainly lifted the pre-match spirits and following a few tackle bag hits declared himself fit and ready to go. With conditions still firm we wanted to protect the returning payers so we moved Theo to fullback and allowed Ethan to slot back into the front row after both boys missed last week.
Coalville had some big players and the forwards took a little time to adjust to the task in hand. We can count ourselves fortunate not to concede the first try when their powerful no8 stormed through, stepped Theo and burst for the line. Unfortunately he dobbed the ball down just over the 5m line and quick thinking George picked up the ball and gained good yardage while Coalville worked out what had happened.
Again we started quite sluggishly and we weren't getting the ball through the hands like we normally do but when we did, great running from Danny opened up space for the first try. Well worked but a difficult conversion missed and we were 5-0 up.
It wasn't long before we were further in front. TK picked up the ball from the base of the scrum and pounded towards the line. 10-0 after James Whyte missed another difficult conversion. Half Time and 10-0 in front.
The second half started and we were far more switched on. The ball started to flow through the hands, Danny drew his man perfectly and Alec went over in the corner for another score. Again a difficult conversion which George left just short. 15-0.
As the game started to open up, TK went on another blitz and stormed his way to the line and under the posts, George converted - 22-0.
Another flowing move allowed George Royle to find space and jink a couple of defenders to get his first Keyworth try in over a year. JW converted and it was 29-0. The fast hands were working again, Theo was joining in the plays as his confidence returned and Alec was away again in the corner. George then nailed the difficult conversion. 36-0.
Unfortunately we then received a yellow card for aggressive rucking and conceded a try to their powerful forward following a penalty against us on their 22. TK, captaining the side for the 3rd successive week completed his Hatrick to put some gloss on a fine performance. Final Score 41-5
