The 1st XV continued their winning ways yesterday, with a resounding victory over Long Eaton 2's in the NLD Plate Semi-Final by 55 points to 7, scoring 5 tries in a second half romp.
Despite conceding an early lead, Long Eaton mounted a prolonged attack on the Keyworth line, but stout defence saw us concede only the one try, score another two ourselves and turn around at half time 19-7 ahead.
A bright start to the 2nd half by Long Eaton could not be sustained, and a further 5 tries through excellent running and support play by Keyworth saw a comfortable victory in the end.
The Final is scheduled to be played at Lincoln RFC on Saturday 1st June [12:00 ko].
