It is with regret that we have to announce one of our original Club Founders, Brian Lund, passed away on the morning of Wednesday 3rd December 2025.

Brian was the principal instigator not only in the founding of the club but also in the move to our current home at Widmerpool.

He made over 600 senior playing appearances between 1976 and 2000 and held the posts of Chairman, 1st XV and 2nd XV Captains during his time at the Club.

A minute silence was held at all home and away games on Saturday /Sunday 6th/7th December, by all senior, age grade and visiting teams.

The Club sends its condolences to Brian's wife, Mary, his two daughters and their families.

Brian's funeral service is to be held at Rishcliffe Oaks Crematorium on Friday 23rd January at 1.15pm; Brian's family extend an invitation to all who knew him to join them in a celebration of his life both at the service and afterwards at the Nottinghamshire Golf Club, Stragglethorpe Road, Cotgrave.
