U9s v Newark

We arrived down the A46 in good time for kick-off but unfortunately Newark had been waiting for a while-fine tuning their set plays.
We picked the closest 7, then changed it because gum guards were missing and got going!
The pitch was the best prepared surface that we have played on so far this season. Great credit to Newark for such a superb surface and playing area, expertly marked out to U9s size.
The boys rotated after every 7 minutes so that everyone could play for a continued time.
We played 3 matches of 14 minutes against 3 different Newark Teams so all of our boys played against each team and I can sincerely say that the level of commitment from Keyworth was fantastic.
Every Player showed significant progress today. Boys started to tackle lower and see how much easier it was. There were some really big hits too that showed improving confidence and technique. Most importantly we scored tries throughout the team.
BOD won a highly contested MOM with a display of great strength and determination.

Well done everyone and greetings to Archer who slotted in like he'd been with us all season.
